BISHU goes to Winterthur!
We’re beyond excited to be invited by ARTWERK Winterthur to their beautiful studio in the heart of Lagerplatz for a special edition of our Wax Ring Carving Workshop. The industrial area is just a 10-minute walk from the Winterthur train station and is home to a vibrant mix of creative spaces, studios, and independent shops.
Join us for a cozy, hands-on creative experience where you’ll design and carve your very own ring from wax. No previous experience is needed — just bring your ideas and a little curiosity.
In a small group of 4–8 people, you’ll be guided step by step through the wax carving process, with personal support and plenty of room to experiment and make your design truly your own.
We’ll take care of the coffee, tea and snacks — you just focus on creating!
The workshop lasts approximately 3 hours and takes place at ARTWERK in Winterthur.
Once your carving is complete, we’ll cast your design in recycled sterling silver and finish it for you. Your one-of-a-kind ring will be ready and delivered to you within 2–3 weeks after the workshop.

How it works
We work with a wax ring of 8 mm width, you can also work with a wider one (see below signet ring wide). The design is completely up to you and your skill level. If you want, you can bring some inspiration pictures or also have a look at our example rings at the workshop. On our instagram you can find some rings that were created in past workshops. We provide you with all the necesseray instruction, help and tools.

Snacks, coffee & tea are provided.
So that you won't go home empty-handed you will get a goodie bag from us! In there you will find a polishing cloth for your self-made BISHU ring, a sticker, a voucher and a fortune cookie.
Material
Material
We work exclusively with recycled silver, recycled brass and plate the pieces with recycled gold. The entire production takes place in Switzerland and we work with long-term partners and small manufacturers in Zurich, Schaffhausen and Lucerne.
Gold plating:
We gold plate the rings with a 5 micron coating, which is thicker than the usual fashion jewellery, but with gold plating it is always the case that the coating will wear off over time. The good news is that the ring can always be gold plated again, so please contact us if your ring needs to be refreshed.

Silver: After the workshop we will cast the ring and finish it professionally within 15 days.
Gold: The gold plated rings take a little longer, we need 25 working days for casting, processing and coating.

We also offer a 18K GOLD WAX RING CARVING WORKSHOP FOR 2 PEOPLE.
In an intimate, personalized workshop for two people, you'll be guided through the process of designing and crafting your own unique rings. Whether it's an engagement, wedding or just a long-lasting ring you want to make together. Held in our studio in Altstetten, this 2.5-hour experience offers you the chance to create a one-of-a-kind symbol of your love. After the workshop, we will cast your ring in 18k gold and finish it up for you. In just two to three weeks, you will receive your finished rings.The workshop fee for two participants is CHF 580.00. Please note that there will be additional charges for the 18K gold material, which will vary based on the weight of your rings.
